Dr Jansen van Rensburg’s commitment to sight goes beyond the consulting room. As an Ophthalmology Consultant and Lecturer at the University of the Free State, he actively shapes the next generation of eye specialists. His advanced expertise is cemented by a Mini Fellowship in Vitreo Retinal Surgery and his continuous involvement with national bodies like the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa (OSSAYO) Executive Committee, where he has served since 2023. This dedication is matched by his volunteer work as an Ophthalmic Surgeon for the South African National Council for the Blind and his role as an Orbis International Fellow, reflecting a deep personal investment in providing world-class, accessible care.
